Toys had taken over this family's living room. Converting the garage into a playroom gave the children their own space and the adults their lounge back.
We kept the original garage door frame with a glazed panel so the room stays bright, and added soft flooring, built-in storage and warm colours that make it feel welcoming.
How We Built ItWalls, ceiling and floor insulated and fire-protected to Building Regulations.
Safe low-level sockets, LED lighting and efficient heating installed.
Plaster, decoration and soft, easy-clean flooring chosen for play.
Built-in shelving and storage fitted, followed by a final check with the family.

The living room is now tidy, the children have a space of their own, and the room can easily adapt into a study or hangout as they grow.
